"What are the precautions to be taken?" Jeeju asked and I sighed

"I told you, none" I said

Today was Reem's doctor's appointment, we just returned home, she has gone to the washroom to take a bath, and I called jeeju to give him an update about what the doctor said, but now he is eating my head by asking the same question repeatedly.

"When will the baby come?" He asked

"Her ninth month has started, we can expect anytime now, as she has entered the safe zone" I said and he exhaled heavily.

"Who are you talking to?" Reem asked, coming from behind me

"Don't disconnect the call I want to listen to her" jeeju said, I just put the phone down.

"Dad" I shrugged, she nodded

Dad has gone to Mumbai for three days, he had an important meeting which he was delaying for so long, but on Reem's persistence he went

Reem laid on the bed and heaved a tired sigh.

"Are you ok?" I asked Reem

"Hmmm! I am fine, just tired" she said a smile was playing on her lips.

"You look very happy today, Mashallah"

"I am just thinking about my ultrasound today, my baby is so cute. Did you see those adorable hands and feet" she was in total awe. The movement of small hands and feet played in my head.

"Yeah that was so cute" I said with a huge smile, suddenly her face turned serious, she sat straight

"You know what Ayesha! I wanted to enjoy these special moments with Izhaan, but I forgot I'm not that lucky" her face turned sad.

I saw it as my chance and decided to talk about jeeju with her, but before I could say anything she spoke

"Anyways! I don't need him anymore, my love is sufficient for my baby" she said

Oh no! Jeeju must've heard this.

"Reem! Don't say that, this is not just your baby, it's jeeju's too" I couldn't stop myself from saying, she stayed quiet.

There was a knock on the door, shiza brought tea and muffins.

"When will you go?" Reem asked, I frowned at her

"Go where?" I asked

"To khan villa" she shrugged

"Why?"

"Oh come on! It's Athar bhai's birthday tomorrow, aren't you going to celebrate it with him?"

I felt a pang on my chest, I badly want to be with Athar and make his birthday the best day of his life, but I can't.

"No Reem! I would stay with you"

"Don't be silly Ayesha! You should go. And if you ask me, I think you should return to khan villa now, I don't like to see you and Athar Bhai away from each other because of me. Please go back to him, for how long you can stay with me, it's not about one day or one week, I will stay here forever, I am never going back to khan villa. And I can't spoil your life because of me" she said, I took a deep breath to calm myself

"Are you done with your crap, or anything left?" I asked, she rolled her eyes, "I'm not leaving you" I said firmly

"Ayesha please, it's his first birthday after your wedding, don't spoil it because of me"

"It's jeeju's birthday also" I reminded her, she fell silent, her eyes filled with water

"I wanted to do so much for him, but he doesn't want me, and there is no way I will force myself on him." She said and laid back on the bed. She turned her side away from me and got busy in her phone
