——

Hello! This is the author, and I wanted to clear some parts up because this book can get pretty confusing. So, before we begin...

- This story does not have a time period where it takes place in, but I have gathered inspiration from different cultures/ time periods for where the main character's "society" takes place in

- It does not take place in present day.

- Usually, I put a warning of my chapters more graphic than others, but on this book I do not have that (besides a small clarification on chapter 9)

- It will say something on names later on in the book, but Hebe is named after a greek goddess who is a handmaid to other gods. The goddess she is named after means "youth" or "bloom of youth".

- The names in this book are strange, but are meant to reflect on the characters themselves.

- Hebe might seem naive, and that is because she is. Please note that the women in the society that Hebe lives in, do not get a chance to truly learn any subjects, besides domestic duties. Hebe also has built up her own little world as a coping mechanism.

- Also, in the prologue, Hebe is 4. That is not what I mean by her being naive, because she is literally a toddler there.

- I use symbolism a lot in this book too! Repetition here is not an error, it is a way to show different elements of this novel

- The characters here are not good or bad. — Everyone — is a shade of gray in terms of their morals. This includes a character you may hate the most and a character you adore

- Contains themes such as gore, rape, racism, sexism, and verbal and physical abuse; I have drawn examples for some scenes from different experiences I, and/ or my friends have either read, watched, or been in (but no longer are in.)

-Scheduled to publish every chapter once every 1-2 days.
