Hey there!
At the start of 2019, new works came into the public domain for the first time in 20 years. Stories from H.P. Lovecraft, Agatha Christie, and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle can now be used for whatever purposes you want - provided it was published in 1923 or earlier.
My siblings decided to throw a Public Domain Party to celebrate. Contributions based on, inspired by, and downright borrowed were all presented to commemorate the new creative fodder.
I thought it would be fun to change as few words as possible from an H.P. Lovecraft piece that I adore seeing if I could flip the genre into something that didn't scare me.
The next chapter is what I ended up with. The following is the original in all it's disturbing glory - since we can do that now!
