For most of it, that's true except for one part, I survived. Staying hidden, is my best chance of surviving long enough to take the throne. But staying hidden is proving hard when the Alpha of my new pack can't keep away for me, that and the new enemies I'm making for having his attention.

After the Blood War of 2106, humanity became all but extinct. All humanistic forms of written, auditory, or visual communication from before the Blood War of 2106 were banned and subsequently destroyed by the High Order. As is common with war, ending one only allows room for another to ignite. Hundreds of years later the same race that wiped out the humans find themselves engaged in a war that could extinguish them as well. To make matters worse, an ancient race of warriors thought to have been extinct see this as the perfect time to rise up and strike while a large, aggressive, alien species breed like wildfire and spread across the galaxy. Bill and his Lieutenant are part a of a Blood Pack Alpha Recon team and some of the most elite soldiers in the universe, but can they survive a war that is already overwhelming their men, a new war, and possibly being knocked off the top of the galactic food chain? VOK (Vampire, Orc, Kiaju) is a short story that I started after a fellow author and friend posted a question on an authors group we're in. Would you watch this movie...Space Marine Vampire's descended from humans, Orcs, and Kiaju babies fighting in a forest. He later added mutants and lasers to the mix. As the discussion livened up and people started throwing ideas around, ideas started forming in my own head as well. Towards the end of the conversation my buddy said it was all a joke (well half joke as he liked the idea as an indie film) to start, but still, I was convinced it could work as a book. So I started writing, and this is the story. Hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoy writing it :-)

Can a natural killer learn to be human again? Regan's unique talent for murder makes her a perfect assassin. After a lethal encounter leaves her broken body washed up on a beach, she finds herself adopted by a group of teenage bodyguards. She doesn't intend to stay for long, but soon Regan finds herself faced with a choice: become a hero or stay a villain? *** The boy played with the flat brim of the cap in his hands and looked around the room. He sat back in his chair, trying to look casual, but the heel of his hi-top sneaker drummed rapidly on the concrete floor. Regan sat opposite him with her legs crossed and her hands folded on her tartan skirt. She watched him without a word and brushed a strand of blue-dyed hair behind her ear. Somehow this seemed to unsettle him more. 'Calm down,' she said. 'It's just murder.' *** Author's Note: Darkness Girl: Trickster God is represented by Louise Fury from The Bent Agency. P.S. The Monster Inside Of My Bed
14 parts 52 pages816,742 35,909
Who has a right to judge what is normal? For 18 year old Maria Valentino it was her parents, it was her friends and it was the doctors who decided that she was no longer stable for the outside world. No one questioned that the man who put her in a mental institution for eight months was in fact a violent drunk, because unlike Maria people thought he was normal. No one questioned that her friends bullied their classmates on a daily basis to stay at the top of the social ladder, because that was normal. The only time people started asking questions was when Maria finally snapped. Then, she meets Mason Riley. Charming, handsome and confident. He was like a slap back to reality, and for the first time in years Maria finally felt like she was back in normality. The only problem was that she met Mason when she was admitted to The Ledge Mental Institution. He had been bouncing from hospital to hospital since he was 12 years old, somewhere along the way the doctors branded him a Sociopath. That would explain the charm, his exceptional knack at manipulation and the remorse that he lacks to feel. Yet, even with all of that Maria finds herself believing that Mason might actually be one of the most normal aspects of her life, because after all sanity is best judged by those who lack it. That’s what he keeps telling her, and she almost started to believe him. Almost. ©makeandoffer
