"You're okay!" My voice was barely above a whisper. "I... I thought..." I stepped closer and bent down, Specter tensed and turned his face away. "You found me injured and unmasked, I suppose you're interested to see who I am?" His voice was sharp and rough. I couldn't discern if Specter was angry, scared, embarrassed, or a combination of all three. I could tell he was in a lot of pain though, judging by the sound of his ragged breathing. I set his mask down beside him before turning around and taking a few steps away. I stared out at the waves for a few moments as I wrung the water from my hair and clothes. I kept my back to him as I replied. "I don't need to know what you look like. I can see that you're a good person... And that's good enough for me." ________________________ Sylvia is a troubled woman whose budding powers cause her to cross paths with the city's new superhero.
