This poem is about colorism, which is discrimination against someone's skin color. Normally, I would have used the perspective of a woman, but I decided to use a man. It's important to acknowledge a man's perspective of colorism. Unfortunately, there are few too many who do not speak about the taunts they receive due to the fear of being labeled a "sissy" or "punk." Everyone has a story to tell and despite not being a man, I hope to shed light on this generational cycle of hatred. The images do not belong to me.
