Celia Belmonte, a 16-year-old from Barcelona finds herself in a small-town Virginia highschool. Between struggling with her feelings of the move and navigating American life, she finds herself in a corner of her precalculus class scribbling on the desk, communicating with a stranger between classes. As Celia starts to establish a new life, she is torn between her feelings for her new friend and the writing of the stranger in math class.
