Squid/Oc Carmen Sorrentino, a socialite, a snob, the pride and joy of her family was raised with a silver spoon in her mouth, isn't entirely lucky in regard to her less than satisfactory activities. However Carmen's latest stroke of bad luck occurs when she is convicted of a small string of cyber crimes, after foolishly forgetting to delete any sign of her whereabouts. She is sent to Camp Green Lake, a juvenile corrections facility which is situated in the centre of a desert, where once stood the biggest lake in Texas. But it had since dried-up decades ago and is crawling with scorpions, rattlesnakes and extremely venomous yellow-spotted lizards. The inmates are forced to dig one hole each day, five feet deep and five feet in diameter, which her family's old acquaintance, the Warden claims "builds their character". She soon finds out that being the only girl in an all-boys camp, isn't the only thing she should be concerned about.
