Texas sheriff's deputy Elizabeth Anderson has just been bitten by a werewolf . . . but the reality's a bit different from what she expected from a childhood spent watching horror movies. She doesn't need a full moon to change, for one, and for another, she seems to be in complete control of her snarling, fur-covered alter ego---although she does have to fight the occasional urge to tear out her boss's throat. She has to maintain control, though, if she wants to use her supernatural abilities to track down the kidnapper of a four-year-old girl . . . and every hour that goes by, that gets harder and harder to do.
