Meriton Grey, a well-established and talented seamstress who holds no interest in love or romance, has somehow garnered the attention of the most eligible and infamous bachelor in all of Ingary, none other than the Earl of Serendipity himself. Well-known as a notorious womaniser, Meriton has no interest in the self-absorbed rake, if anything she cannot stand him, and she makes that sentiment as clear to him as she can. When he still refuses to acknowledge, let alone take her rebuttals seriously, she instead offers him her friendship, and though it knocks him for a loop, he tentatively accepts and they form a tenuous friendship. With that friendship, comes the Earl's bodyguard, the mysterious and interesting Keanu Tipton, and of course against Meriton's better judgement she feels a flicker of something maybe ever-so-slightly romantic for him. Unbeknownst to Meriton, the Earl's attentions for her now aren't entirely platonic, and when before it was just some fanciful flirting, it may now have developed into something more real and tangible, something someone like the Earl is not used to feeling at all. How will a young lady with no experience in love and the complications that accompany it, cope with the attentions of two men? Simple, she has no hope at all.
