"EVERY PASSING MOMENT " After being bitten by a genetically engineered spider, young Peter Parker finds that he now has incredibly enhanced strength, speed and agility. Along with the ability to adhere to any surface, a precognitive spider-sense that warns him of danger and a pair of mechanized web shooters, the idealistic teenager fights against evil as the costumed hero Spider-Man. Set during the decade of the 1990's, this is a Generation X version of the Amazing Spider-Man story. This is a time when young people believed that they had the power to change the world for the better. In order to make a difference, Peter will need to rely on his friends for help and have the courage to believe in good. LAST ISSUE: Mary Jane Watson continues to struggle with her personal demons. Even after the fiasco at her school play, she still has an enduring problem with alcohol abuse. More than that, her battle with depression keeps getting worse. The teenage girl still feels responsible for the death of her best friend, Gwen Stacy, and cannot let go of her memory. Mary Jane's misguided attempts at having fun seem to be having the opposite effect on her life. Things keep getting worse. During the Thanksgiving vacation week, Peter Parker and Harry Osborn take a road trip up north in an effort to get to know one another better. However, they accidentally desecrate a sacred Native American burial site. Now, they must make amends and that includes participating in the ceremonial ritual of the sweat lodge. As the ceremony progresses, Peter unexpectedly goes on a vision quest which renews his sense of purpose and emboldens him to fight for good as Spider-Man.
