I live in fantasy.

An imaginative life

In my mind, that is

My aunt used to say it like an accusation " Anne Davis , I barely know what you look like with your head always in clouds or in a book."

Maybe but it feels too good to read books which is erotic. I've gotten through two years at Kresley University with an average 4.7 GPA and my virginity intact , because I am either studying or daydreaming so much. So that my college years are flying by. After this term, I have only one semester left before I take the last exam next summer, then I am finally a senior this fall.

I am twenty - three . Most of the students in my class are unlikely a couple years or two younger than the average junior who started college right after high school.

Once I got my diploma degree, I worked my ass off for two years in a nearby cafe to save up for a good chunk of tuition , so that I wouldn't be needing loans. Actually, my brother gave this advice to me.

Besides I didn't know what the hell I wanted to major in at eighteen years old . My classmates used to say , " I want to explore." Some of them wanted to take science, few of them took commerce, drama , or major in english. After some decision making I took Law.

So it took two years to decide and I am better off for it.

Law school will be a different story to claim that overall debt-free and not just adding that debt to more.

I had to sacrifice so much to be able to claim that. Seems like all I do is work or study . It's not like I don't want to have fun, I do , but sometimes I can't wait to get home so I can escape into the world of my own creation and fantasy.

I rushed from the students union to get to Political Theory class on time.I had realised it's one of the only lectures where I can actually focus, because who can dream when a professor like Andrew Sinclair speaks.

Reaching the auditorium, I rush in.

I swear I can smell a hint of his cologne even though he is nowhere to be seen yet.

As usual. I slide into a seat in a row half way up the auditorium and throw my blonde hair up in a fast bun. While I take my Mac laptop from my bag pack , other students are drifting in , the energy a little livelier than usual due to the upcoming break that is coming up soon wishing. I could say the same.

It'll just be another long weekend on a quiet campus for me, since I can't afford to fly home. I get bored to death. Regardless I had just the end up in a cozy corner reading or studying most of the time. My brother most probably goes to his girlfriend's place for Thanksgiving. My parents would be hanging out with their friends group.

Suddenly there's a collective hush, and I know without looking he's walked in.

Andrew Sinclair.
