When I woke up it felt as if my eyes were glued shut. I couldn't open them. I'm my hands flew up to my eyelids and rubbed them hard.

Once the crust was gone from my eyelids, I opened them slowly and was faced with a smiling Garrett, holding a tray of food in his hand.

I smiled at him looking at the food in his hand, "What is that?"

"For you my lady." He placed the tray on my lap laid down beside me on the bed and wrapped his arm around my neck.

My mouth started to water as I grabbed a piece of bacon and tossed it into my mouth. I moaned as I chewed it, "I love you so much."

He laughed and grabbed a piece of bacon from the plate, "Anything for my princess!"

His cooking always tastes divine, I wonder what he thinks of mine. Maybe he thinks my cooking sucks and that's why he always cooks for me? Then again, we do eat out a lot.

Oh well, I don't care that much. I bit into another piece of bacon before I picked up a fork and dug into the eggs he also had made me.

I find it so incredibly sexy when guys can cook. They look hot cooking too. Well, guys look hot doing anything, to be honest. Driving, walking, cooking, sitting, sleeping, I could go on and on.

"Gare?" I ask him.

"Yeah?" He doesn't tear his eyes away from the show that is playing on the television.

"Where did you learn how to cook?"

He looked lost in thought for a moment before he spoke. "Well once my parents passed away, I had to learn to do everything myself."

I nodded, "That's cool, well not about your parents, but you know that you learned to cook on your own."

"Yeah, I can make a mean chicken cordon bleu. I'll make it for you soon if you want."

"Mhm, that sounds heavenly."

We finished breakfast then we both got ready for the day. Garrett and I were going to ride by Alexis's house to see if she, or anyone, was home.

I hope everything is okay with her. I just have a gut feeling that something has happened.

If we can't find her, I guess we can go down to the prison where Hayes was being held and ask him.

Once we were about ready to leave I thought about something.

This would be the first time I would be leaving this house without saying goodbye Boomer.

"Babe?" Garrett says putting his hand on my shoulder from behind. "You okay?"

I turned around and pressed my face into his chest, letting my cries out.

"Shhh, it's going to get better, I promise." He ran his hand through my hair, trying to soothe me.

My breath was getting caught up in my throat, I hated it when that happened.

I have a bad habit of not breathing when I'm in shock or stressed.

I start to hyperventilate and eventually begin to cry when I start to breathe again. It's honestly really scary and I hate when it happens.

It hasn't happened in a while though, so I'm pretty lucky.

One of his hands forces me to look at him. He wipes the tears off of my face and I look down, feeling embarrassed.

He gives me a small smile of empathy before pulling me into a hug and kissing me on the head.

He pulled away and looked at me, "Come on let's get your mind off of him."
