Antoinette Gideon--Toni, as her friends call her, was raised to be as tough as the come. Her father was one of the greats. He pioneered the Behavioral Analysis Unit for the FBI, and Toni realized from a young age how dangerous her father's job could be. Nonetheless, Toni wanted to follow in his footsteps one day. She graduated from the academy, and by the time she was 25 she was working as a detective that specialized in serial sex crimes. Around the same time she started her detective job, her father left his job at the BAU. Under the advisement of her father, she changed her last name to her mother's maiden name. As time went on, Toni wasn't so sure she wanted to join the BAU anymore. However, a call from her father's old friend has her rethinking that decision.
