Under rather dubious circumstances, the island of Rookward becomes the battleground for a high-stakes competition unlike any other. Fifty individuals, split into five teams, find themselves thrust into a perilous game of survival where alliances are forged, and betrayals run rampant. Within the competition, there are five classifications of contestant and each team of ten has two of ever classification. Survivalists are hoped to keep the teams alive in the wilderness once their provided supplies run out. Warriors are those that are experienced with weapons and physical prowess, contrastingly to them, Assassins are adept at striking from the shadows, or stealth at the least. Strategists may not be the most threatening in a fight, but they'll be key if the teams want to have the advantage going into a battle, armed with both weapons they were provided and items made by their Craftsmen, those who can be relied on to keep the teams equipment in working order throughout their time in the arena. As each team navigates the island's diverse and treacherous environments, from dense jungles to jagged slate cliffs and the ruins of long dead cities, they are faced with a series of challenges designed to test their physical prowess and strategic cunning. But Rookward holds more than just obstacles-it guards ancient mysteries and hidden secrets waiting to be unraveled. With every step fraught with danger and every decision a matter of life or death, the contestants must confront their deepest fears and darkest desires. As tensions rise and allegiances are tested, the true nature of the game becomes clear-only one team will emerge victorious, claiming the final fragment and securing their place in history. But as the competition intensifies, so too do the revelations about Rookward's enigmatic past and the sinister forces at play.
