Chamfering is an important process when making a stud bolt. Chamfering is used in woodworking, glass cutting, architecture, and in CAD, and it's also a useful tool for deburring. Chamfering is making a small cut, usually at a 45-degree angle, to remove a 90-degree edge. Chamfering also removes sharp edges which reduces significantly the possibility of cuts, and injuries, to people handling the metal piece.
