Her heart broke in the middle of the night when she realized that she would never see him again. There were tears on her cheeks and a hole in her chest where her heart used to be. She used to see him every morning in the middle of the quad.
There was nothing she could do but break. Her bedroom door was locked, her eyes red. Blood thundering in her ears, hands shaking, heart-stopping.
She could feel their connection flickering out from the itch in her veins. Everyone warned her. She walked into the hallway, excitement bubbling within her.
He hadn't called her back in three days. Onlookers watched her with sad eyes.
When she saw him stabbing her in the back, she couldn't breathe.
