Suddenly I didn't see a masked king
I saw a man that's hurting and pained
Weak to my knees though my heart smiled to bits
How we talked til evening yet our gazes didn't meet

Suddenly my light dimmed
To accompany your bleak
It felt like we were meant to be
Regardless of how long it's been

Then again reality strikes at me
Looking at how long it's been
I think we've both found ease in our amiss
I miss you still, wishing we could've been

These words you'd never see
Much like the bliss we'd give to us each
Long live what could've been
As we dwell in reality, how surreal
