It is about two young women (Clay and Anpiel) who escape from a laboratory. Clay was genetically engineered to be able to control her blood and is destined to be a human weapon. Anpiel was genetically engineered to have wings. When they escape, Anpiel's wings pose an issue because they are unable to fit into society without being discovered. With the help of amateur paranormal investigators Zach, Gabriel and Sam, they set out to craft a damning article to expose the lab in the hopes Clay and Anpiel will be able to live openly together. Meanwhile, Clay must choose to become her own person and carve her own path, or risk becoming the creature the lab-created her to be.
