Xanders team begin working on the other cell doors. It doesn't take long for subjects 6, 7 and 8 to be released. We are not hanging around. I instantly stick myself to Xanders side. His team of people surround us, and the other subjects, maybe Xander can communicate with them and let them know what is going on as we walk towards the doors of which they came through.

The carnage that has been caused is indescribable. There are bullet holes everywhere, paper thrown all over the place, and countless bodies of the guards who restrained us. The fight must have been intense. The guards fighting to keep hold of their science projects, and Xanders team fighting to save their leader.

I never realised how big this place was, it feels like it takes ages to get through the rooms, this place must have held a hundred people easily. Were we their only project? Or was there more going on behind the scenes? What was their main objective here?

I'm not prepared to stay behind to find out. I was promised freedom, and I'm going to take it.

We make our way through the car park, where I'm guessing they made their way in.

The place looks pretty deserted and is very quiet. Something doesn't seem right, I feel all conflicted about the peace. We have walked out the place with no interruptions and no stand offs.

The group takes us off the road that led them into the car park. It looks like were in the middle of nowhere, nothing but trees seem to surround up for hundreds of miles. This place is looking creepier by the minute. The group leads us into the woods and under the cover of darkness. The dark never used to bother me until I was captured, I thought I knew what lurked out there, but I was so naïve.

We come up to a clearing, and the man upfront who is leading stops. The whole group stops behind and Xander instantly crouches down next to me in a guarding position. The man then moves his fingers in a certain direction for some, and in the other direction for something else. I have no idea what the hand signals mean. I was never allowed to work or study in my father's army. I was barely allowed to train with my uncle.

"Stay with me"

Xander and I move to the side, using a large tree for cover, while the other test subjects use another tree to hide. Xanders team then split up. They move swiftly and silently. These guys look like they are at the top of their game. I hear a thud in the distance, sounding almost like the sound of a large object, possibly a body dropping to the floor.

The sound of a gun goes off. Then multiple guns go off. We have been found, and it sounds like we are outnumbered. The wolves that are stuck in their wolf forms and can't shift back so we can't help against rounds of gunfire. These guys have heavy artillery, we would be no use against them, the rounds they use, most likely been created to stop us or severely slow us down, thanks to their intense studying of us.

Xander comes closer to me, shielding his body with mine. I feel protected in one of the most frightening time in my life.

What's going to happen if Xander's team can't kill them all. What if they kill his team before anyone can get to safety. We're going to be dragged back into some new cells. These ones will be made better; there will be no escaping the next time. Another gun shot goes off, this one sounding pretty close. I hear the thump of the body hitting the floor. I don't want to be captured again, I don't want to be put in a cage or isolated again.

"Raven get out of here! Find some place to hide"

Leave? On my own? And go where? I haven't seen the outside in so long that I don't think I would be able to cope without him, I'm a marked female now, my mentality won't cope from being on my own for any amount of time, I won't know how to be on my own again

"I can't leave, I'm scared"

He lowers his head, before gently placing it to mine. In the calmest and gentlest voice I've heard, he replies to me.

"I promise I'll find you again"

People have promised me things before and let me down. If I don't leave I'm going to get myself hurt, or worse, the distraction that I'm causing to Xander could get him hurt. With that in mind, I hold onto the promise that he made, and I run off into the night with the hope that we will be reunited soon.
