Tina's POV
Charlie forced mom and I to take off work early so we could welcome Bella home.

I set up her room, not really putting much effort into it since I had no idea what she liked since the only time she talked to me was to insult me. So if she didn't like her room then she could change it herself.

I sighed after finishing and went downstairs to help mom with dinner

I sighed after finishing and went downstairs to help mom with dinner. I made the rice since she was making the broccoli and the chicken was in the oven.

I grabbed the butter, salt, pepper, garlic powder and onion powder then had a mental debate on which other seasonings it needed before ultimately deciding to make some chicken broth to mix in it

I grabbed the butter, salt, pepper, garlic powder and onion powder then had a mental debate on which other seasonings it needed before ultimately deciding to make some chicken broth to mix in it.

I was trying to keep it simple for Bella's delicate stomach. Hopefully she doesn't think our food is too 'spicy' or 'over seasoned'.

Mom was making steamed broccoli with salt and some minced garlic and chopped onion. The chicken was seasoned with pepper, salt, butter, and garlic....

Bella's not even here yet and we're already changing things!

I really just wanted some Marsala chicken....

I sighed earning a sympathetic look from my mom. She gave me a side hug when I walked over to the stove next to her "I know you're not happy, but if we can pull through tonight I'll start looking at houses in the morning" she said softly making me rest my head on her shoulder "It shouldn't be like this, we're his family yet he always puts Bella and Renee first. They abandoned him and Bella refused to Sven visit when she was 9, but it's always about them, and not the people who were here for them and cared about him" I ranted.

She ran a soothing hand through my hair "I know, sweetling, I know. Charlie's.....he needs to work on himself before thinking he can care for anyone else" she said, struggling to find the right words to say to excuse Charlie's behavior rather than outright saying that he doesn't care about us.

I sighed and nodded accepting her explanation and started making the rice.

~~~timeskip~~~
We finished cooking and started setting the table just as Charlie and Bella walked in.
Bella hadn't changed much since she was a kid. She just got taller. And her taste in clothes..... I don't know what to make of it.
I put on a smile and said "Hello Bella
I put on a smile and said "Hello Bella. Welcome back" Bella looked at me and scowled "I see your still fat, Christabelle, didn't the diet books we sent you for Christmas help?" I kept a smile on my face and said "Always a pleasure having you here..." her scowl worsened "And you still talk weird!"
Mom stepped in and said "Bella, why don't you go up to your room and set you luggage down before joining us for dinner" she also wore a fake smile. Bella scowled at her and said "I didn't realize you were still here....though I shouldn't be surprised. Ugly bitches stick together" She then turned and strutted upstairs nearly falling several times.
We both looked at Charlie with sour looks as he awkwardly stood there "She's just cranky from the plane ride" we both exchanged looks, not believing that. We didn't say anything, but instead just took our seats.
Bella came down and sat down. The entire night she made comments to me and mom and Charlie just sat there brushing it off.
I was relieved when I was able to go to my room and get ready for bed.
