"As you navigate through life, you will inevitably encounter numerous individuals with malicious intentions. What's more, some of these individuals may be even more nefarious than those you have encountered now. Have you ever wondered why this is so? It is because even the highest-ranking demon, the Father and chief of all devils, has not yet received the punishment he deserves and has not yet been cast into the depths of hell."

ELLIE REIGN MORRIS

As I settled into the front passenger seat of Hiyaschi's car, I couldn't help but feel a sense of disquietude wash over me. My hand trembled as I buckled my seatbelt, and my forehead glistened with sweat despite the cool air blowing from the car's air conditioner. I desperately wanted to break the quietness with some light conversation. The looming question of why he wanted to take me to the crime scene hung heavily in the air, and I was too afraid to ask.

"What happened to your face?" He asked unexpectedly, breaking the silence.

"Hu-huh?" I stammered.

With a gradual motion, his gaze turned in my direction. "Based on my recollection of our prior instructional session, I did not detect any apparent facial injuries on your visage."

I was taken aback when Hiyaschi's warm hand gently lifted my chin, guiding my face to the side.

"I must assert that I am greatly impressed by your fortitude. Your willingness to prioritize the needs of others above your own well-being is highly commendable. I am interested in understanding the motivation behind your continued efforts to assist others, even when it may jeopardize your safety."

As soon as he removed his hand from my face, he reached out to the storage compartment in front of me and pulled out a first aid kit. He opened it and rummaged through the contents to find a cotton ball. After he found one, he carefully put some Povidine-iodine on it and started to approach my wound to clean it. However, I was hesitant and backed off slightly.
