Christoph's POV

"I'm putting you in charge of retrieving the packages. I want Two thousand kilos of cocaine by tomorrow night." I shoved my hands deep into my pocket as I gazed at the dry deserted premises from my office window. "Once it's done, you'll be directed to Alfonso. He knows who the buyers are and where you'll meet them. And everything else you need to know, he knows." I turned to him with an emotionless countenance, lazily glaring at him. "You just need to ask. Clear?"

"Yes sir." He responded.

"Good."

I sat down leaning back in my leather office chair.

A knock sounded and the door was soon opened. Russ walked in followed by the one and only Dante Kaele.

"Christoph! Welcome back." I smirked.

I spent three years in Italy, I needed some time away from all the rubbish that surrounded me. I had planned a week's but ended up spending years, besides there was nothing that pleased me in America. But now I was back and It was worth it, I grew my business empire to impossible heights and strengthened my mafia families.

Which meant more wealth, prestige and riches.

He sat at the other side of my desk with a devilish grin.

"What do you want Dante?" I growled.

Everything between us was sorted. No feuds or animosities. I had him under my control once more and I wanted to see just what he'd be able to do for me.

"It's not about what I want, it's about what YOU want... Possibly need." He responded, a malicious smirk plastered on his wrinkly visage.

"And what is that?" I glared at him lazily.

"I found her."

My lips automatically curved into a smirk of utter satisfaction. When the sound of a vibrating phone interrupted.

I glared at Martinez, as he quickly silenced his phone. "Leave." I ordered and he didn't hesitate for a second.

"She's in Glendale."

"Glendale?" I repeated. She was so close yet I still did not have her.

"Now coming to my money." I rolled my eyes, as I leaned back into my seat. "I want fifteen million."

"Really?" I questioned lazily. This man was greedy as fuck.

"Yeah, after what you did to my daughter you're as good as her spouse. So I'm increasing the bride price."

I arched an eyebrow, "What in the hell did I do to be as good as her spouse?"

"Oh, I see you're unaware." I glanced at Russ who stared at me, doubtfully as Dante kept on mumbling rubbish.

"That makes sense. Well let's just say Leilani's hiding something very big from you."

"If it's about the Castileo Reapers, we already know that Dante." Russ asserted.

"What makes you think she's a reaper?" He asked, slightly annoyed. "If she really was one of them do you think Neluca would be so calm about her being exposed considering she's branded?"

That actually made a lot of sense. I hadn't heard from Neluca in a while, but after Leilani's cover was blown I'd expect him to react in some way.

I stood checking my phone, "send me her location."

"I'll do that when I get it." He mumbled and I left.

I walked into my dark, empty mansion. From a business meeting.

I slipped my suit jacket and tie off then rolled my sleeves up.

I poured myself a glass of the strongest ale I had, then sat myself down in darkness.

It has been four years but I still feel her absence.

Her scent, voice, body, charisma..... Everything about her was deeply engraved in my mind and I truly missed her.

If I didn't have the mafia or business on my mind then it would be her.

Sometimes I feel like I didn't truly appreciate her.

But she made me feel like I couldn't trust her........... I couldn't love her enough.

         "She's hiding something from you."

That was in the back of my head, but what more could she have to hide.

Leilani's POV

I paced around casually going through my phone. I'd tried calling Nikolas but he wasn't picking up.

He hadn't called ever since he left and I was worried.

"Did he pick up?" Fabiola walked in to the living room carrying Allegra.

"No." I sighed, taking a seat. "Maybe he's busy."

She froze, went silent as if she was thinking about something.

"Is everything okay?" I asked.

"Yea-" Them my phone began to ring cutting her off.

"It's him." I said and quickly answered.

"Hey, how are you?"

"I'm okay, sorry I couldn't answer your call I was in the middle of something."

"When are you returning?"

"Umm.... Not any time soon. But please take care."

"Nik-" He disconnected.

"What did he say?"

"He's still busy."

She nodded as she caressed my baby's curly black hair.

My mind drifted towards my father. Should I call? Something within me felt like I couldn't trust him, but another part of me really did.

I couldn't help but feel stupid about all this, butI 'd come to a decision and I believe leaving with him would be best.

Yet I still hadn't told Fabiola.
