'NO, WE CANNOT RISK YOUR SAFETY.' Aro attempted to argue with Katherine as she asked to sit in on the trials

'But I did it before.' She pouted as she sat on his lap in his office chair, placing her hands on his shoulders as she stared into his eyes, Aro ended up making the grave mistake of staring back into her dark brown irises 'I sat in on that trial with Andrei, and the only reason it went wrong is because you all hid an extremely large secret from me and it was revealed - so unless you are hiding any more secrets from me, which I do hope you aren't, then you shouldn't have any issues with it. Don't you think I should learn more about the Volturi and how it works anyway if I am to become Queen?' Katherine attempted to reason

'You have the books.' He groaned as she shifted on his lap, attempting to restrain himself and concentrate on not giving in to her at the same time 'Perhaps you'll allow me to accompany you while you read.' He bargained

'There's only so much you can learn from books, Aro.' She chuckled at the man's words 'I'll even sit with you if you want.' Katherine offered, smiling innocently at him

'You are going to be the death of me.' He scoffed, to which she hummed, he suddenly pulled her closer to him and pressed his lips against her own, locking them in a kiss

As she pulled away her smile soon returned yet she tried to cover it with mock annoyance 'You're all so needy, it's tiring.' She rolled her eyes playfully to which he snarled and pulled her back into him

'Only because you are so irresistible.' He spoke with a sultry voice when he allowed them to break apart in order for her to breathe.

'Who are the Romanians?' She suddenly asked, causing his body to stiffen 'I read about their feud with the Volturi.' The girl explained, she felt Aro's chest rise and fall in a deep sigh that he released, his own eyes suddenly heavy with the suffering he had seen through many others.

His voice was heavy and cold as he spoke 'A vile, repulsive coven who think they are worthy to rule us with their despicable and sickening laws, their mutinous nature since we had taken the throne from them was to say the least, violating; it led to a long war between us, we defeated them, naturally, yet there's always a feeling that they are watching - even if they are gone, it's just unshakable paranoia that I cannot rid myself of.' He spat, gripping the girl closer towards him, as if he were scared their filthy fingertips would snatch her away 'They had three leaders, like us, yet we did not know every name.' He revealed, his eyes regretful as if he wished he could have all the knowledge of the pesky coven

Katherine placed a hand on his cheek and pulled his head up slightly, staring into his eyes lovingly, empathising his memories though she could not see them 'I'm proud of you, Aro.' She smiled gently at him 'You stood up to people who didn't do the right thing, you knew that and you took care of it. You dealt with it when everyone else was too scared to, I admire you for that.' Her voice was trancelike, dreamily floating into his beckoned ears 'Even if they were here, even if I was miraculously taken from your overprotective grasps, I would do what you did; I would stay strong and retaliate against the wrong-doers.'
