"[name]," he called out from behind, and so i turned around to face him. i hummed in return to let him know i was listening to whatever he needs to say.
even still, my eyes were still on the book i was reading, meaning that my attention isn't fully his.
"[name]." he called out again, in a stricter and sterner voice this time. upon his second call, i finally raised my head and my eyes met his.
my breath hitched since he's looking so fine, as always. a smile subconsciously wandered on my lips as i found myself admiring his features. "yes?" i replied with a small smile.
he took a step closer and flicked my forehead. "pay attention to me because i'm only going to say it once." he said in a soothing voice. there was a moment of pause and you could tell that he looked slightly nervous.
one second, two seconds, three, four, five, six..
"i like you." the earth seemed to have stop orbiting around the sun for i was flabbergasted at his words.
he said it.
after one year, four months, and three days of chasing him, he finally reciprocated the feelings i have for him.
my pretty boy.
"hm, could you please repeat that?" i wanted to tease him. i heard it the first time but it just felt so good hearing it from my long term crush.
he rolled his eyes and didn't say anything else. instead, he leaned in and was about to intertwine his lips with mine but..
he kissed my forehead instead.
a pout formed in my lips, i was really expecting something! the moment he leaned back, he spoke: "i know you heard me the first time. i hope this proves it."
"nuh uh," i shook my head disapprovingly, a certain idea formed inside my head, "lips."
scaramouche sighed and leaned in again, slowly this time. i closed my eyes, waiting for his lips to touch mine.
"is this your first kiss?"
"have i ever had a romantic attraction towards other people that isn't you?"
"you're loyal, i like that."
"then kiss me!!"
"not right now, your first kiss needs to be memorable."
"everything is memorable as long as it's with you!"
with a sigh, he leaned back without a kiss. "i want to kiss you under the sunset." he smiled and pinched my cheeks.
i pouted but i couldn't help but feel excited. at least i have something to look forward to until the time happens!
i wonder, will you finally say yes to my proposal now?
