Been in a very Spider-Man mood lately (aren't I always.) What's up, Eli? Here are a handful of covers for your fic FUTURA NOVACANE. I haven't had a chance to do many Miguel O'Hara covers, so I was very excited to work on this one! Lady Shiva, although definitely one of my DC beloveds, doesn't have a lot of resources for comic covers like these, so she was a little difficult to work with. Still, mother is Mother, so I made do.

          For these covers, I worked primarily with a black background. The original Miguel art had a black background, so I didn't stray far from that, but I was partially inspired by the art direction of Batman: The Animated Series which, I believe, was drawn on dark paper to create that darker, Gotham-y look. I think Batman Beyond got the same treatment, and Neo-Gotham and Nueva York are very closely associated in my head (I am not very smart.) I wanted to keep that vibe. Also it was easier 😹😹 I won't lie about that. As you can see, in the top left corner I slapped up a panel of Nueva York, both to fill the space and add to that "futuristic" vibe you mentioned in your form.

          Of course, there are also the glitches applied through all five covers. It goes a bit heavy in the "main" cover, hence why I played with it throughout the others. Some of the covers also have a halftone effect, just to evoke that comic book-y, superhero-y feel. As for the colour schemes themselves, I went "vibrant" for each one (while still trying to maintain that darkness with the all-black background) but the last two covers are more purple; both warm purple and cool purple, because I wasn't really sure which shade you preferred!
