In a village by the sea,
Where waves crash with unfettered glee,
Lived a maiden, with locks of spun gold,
Whose tale of woe, forever untold.
Sarah, with eyes like the restless ocean,
Yearned for love with fervent devotion.
But her heart belonged to a sailor bold,
Whose ship sailed away, leaving her cold.
Each day, she'd wait upon the rugged shore,
Where waves would kiss the sand, forevermore.
But her sailor love, he never returned,
And her soul with sorrow, slowly burned.
Yet in her grief, she found strength anew,
Amidst the storm, her spirit grew.
