"You'll be sent out in groups of two." Ghost said.

"YN. Nest. You two are together." Konig said.

Heck yeah!

I kept my eyes forward and soon they explained the rules.

Okay, simple. Find the hidden red egg and get it back to Ghost.

Nest and I took off once dismissed.

"Hey, do you feel like we're being watched?" I asked as we searched high and low.

"It's probably another recruit trying to steal the egg from us once we find it." Nest dug through some bushes and I climbed trees.

I hopped off the tree and Nest helped me back up to my feet.

"Meins!"

We both jumped and looked around.

"The fuck was that?" Nest asked.

"I don't know. Are these woods haunted?" I asked nervously.

Nest laughed.

"Nah. Hurry, we still need to find this egg." He said and we moved on with the search.

I reached into a bush and someone grabbed my hand.

I screamed and pulled back.

"What!?"

"Something grabbed me!"

"Oh come on. You're fine." Nest rolled his eyes. "Your imagination is running wild."

"You're probably right....

I dug around the bush again, a lot more hesitantly, and felt something.

I grabbed it and pulled it out.

"It's the red egg!" I smiled and Nest ran over excited.

"You found it! Come on, let's get back to base!"

I put the egg away securely and we ran back to Ghost and Konig.

They were talking.

"Sirs! We have the egg!" I said and pulled it out.

I handed it to Ghost and noticed some of the red came off on my hand.

I glanced at Konig and noticed red on his glove.

"Oh, sir. Did you hide the egg?"

"Huh? Why?" Konig asked.

"You have red on your glove as well."

"No. I hid the egg." Ghost said.

"Oh. Well, the bush was a good idea."

"What are you talking about? I hid it in a tree." Ghost grunted.

"Must have rolled down and landed in the bush." Konig said.

"It would have cracked. It seems in perfect condition." Ghost examined the egg.

"Oh well. You're dismissed." Konig nodded.

"Thank you sirs."

"By the way, why did you disappear for so long?" Ghost asked Konig as we walked away.

"Ah. I had something to take care of."
