The 'Three Quls' are the last three chapters (Surahs) in the Qur'an. They are commonly known as:

112."Qul huwa Allāhu Aḥad" (Sūrah Al-Ikhlāṣ)

113."Qul A'ūdhu birabbi al-falaq" (Sūrah Al-Falaq)

114."Qul A'ūdhu birabbi al-nās" (Sūrah Al-Nās)


1. Qul huwa Allahu Ahad" (Surah Al-Ikhlāṣ)

Its Text

بِسْمِ اللَّـهِ الرَّحْمَـنِ الرَّحِيمِ

قُلْ هُوَ اللَّـهُ أَحَدٌ * اللَّـهُ الصَّمَدُ * لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ يُولَدْ * وَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُ كُفُوًا أَحَدٌ

Its Transliteration

Bismi Allāhi al-raḥmāni al-raḥim

Qul huwa Allāhu aḥadun.

Allāhu al-ṣamadu.

Lam yalid wa lam yūlad.

Wa lam yakun lahū kufuwan ahadun.

Translation of its Meaning into English

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.

Say, "He is Allah, [who is] One.

Allah, the Eternal Refuge.

He neither begets nor is born.

Nor is there to Him any equivalent."


2. Qul A'ouzu brabbil falaq" (Surah Al-Falaq)

Its Text

بِسْمِ اللَّـهِ الرَّحْمَـنِ الرَّحِيمِ

قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ * مِن شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ * وَمِن شَرِّ غَاسِقٍ إِذَا وَقَبَ * وَمِن شَرِّ النَّفَّاثَاتِ فِي الْعُقَدِ * وَمِن شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ إِذَا حَسَدَ

Its Transliteration

Bismi Allāhi al-raḥmāni al-raḥim

Qul 'a'ūdhu birabbi al-falaqi.

Min sharri mā khalaqa.

Wamin sharri ghāsiqin idhā waqaba.

Wamin sharri al-naffāthāti fī al-'uqadi.

Wamin sharri ḥāsidin idhā ḥasada.

Translation of its Meaning into English

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.

Say, "I seek refuge in the Lord of daybreak.

From the evil of that which He created.

And from the evil of darkness when it settles.

And from the evil of the blowers in knots.

And from the evil of an envier when he envies."


2. Qul A'ouzu birabbinnaas" (Surah Al-Nās)

Its Text

بِسْمِ اللَّـهِ الرَّحْمَـنِ الرَّحِيمِ

قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِ * مَلِكِ النَّاسِ * إِلَـهِ النَّاسِ * مِن شَرِّ الْوَسْوَاسِ الْخَنَّاسِ * الَّذِي يُوَسْوِسُ فِي صُدُورِ النَّاسِ * مِنَ الْجِنَّةِ وَالنَّاسِ

Its Transliteration

Bismi Allāhi al-raḥmāni al-raḥim

Qul 'a'ūdhu birabbi al-nāsi.

Maliki al-nāsi. Ilāhi al-nāsi.

Min sharri al-waswāsi al-khannāsi.

Alladhī yuwaswisu fī ṣudūri al-nāsi.

Mina al-jinnati wa al-nāsi.

Translation of its Meaning into English

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.

Say, "I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind.

The Sovereign of mankind.

The God of mankind.

From the evil of the retreating whisperer.

Who whispers [evil] into the breasts of mankind.

From among the jinn and mankind."
