BOOK TWO IN THE NOX HAVEN SERIES:

When you look in the mirror what do you see? Does your reflection look exactly like you or does it mirror the person you truly are. I can hardly look in the mirror anymore, the boy I loved is dead, and the one I saved cannot be trusted. With a heavy heart I try to wear my armor proudly, now is not the time to worry.

Now, as a sixteen year old girl, I must prepare myself for war. I only hope they don't have me leading the troops because every time I try to make things better they become worse. In a time of chaos I must learn who I can really trust. Who will love you? Who will die for you? And who will betray you? I never expected to find any of those things out when I attended my sophomore year at Nox Haven.

Prologue

Unknown POV:

I lingered in the shadows until the sun faded into the darkness. Once the sky was painted navy blue I stepped away from the tree I was leaning agianst. In just a few hours the students of Nox Haven academy would be arriving and I would join them. I'm not going to Nox Haven for the classes or exclusivity. They possessed something more valuable that I wanted.

The past three months have been hell, eventually I snapped. I couldn't control my jealousy or desire anymore. If Caddie would have been with me she would have been so worried about my mental state. A sick smile came upon my face as I thought of the compassionate, little witch. With her ability to feel the emotions of others she was always kind, but as the Dark Witch's heir she was meant to live a much darker life.

Soon, I would take away that innocence and return her back to the world of evil and hate. Once she sees things my way everything will go according to plan. I will finally be able to get my revenge on those who have wronged me, and she will be by my side. I flashed my fingers towards the sky and teleported to a different place. Seconds later I stood outside of Caddie's house. I walked up to the faded white, three story high building and let myself in. The door was originally locked but a simple spell opened the door.

I looked around the home and fought back a smile. This place looked so mundane, you would never believe that an evil witch lived here. She didn't even have the house enchanted with a protection spell! Didn't she realize how many dark ones were obsessed with killing her?

Her pathetic excuse for a father was passed out on a dark leather couch. I silently bent down and picked up the TV remote that was lying on the hardwood floor. I glanced over at the tv and smirked at the documentary that was playing.

"Nowadays the idea of witches and magic seems silly and childish but back in the 1600s many people believed the stories were true. Friends and family members turned on each other during the Salem Witch Trials. Women were being killed for their gender, old age, no children, or being contentious..."

I held back a laugh and shut the television off. Humans were so ignorant, they created crazy explanations for things they didn't understand. It would be so easy to take control of their world and turn them into slaves.

I walked out of the living room and bounded up the stairs. Caddie's room was behind the very last door. I pushed it open and smiled at the innocent scene before me. Caddie's body was tucked under a light blue comforter, her golden hair was sprawled across the pillow and in her feeble grasp she held her cat, Ebony. I bent down and pressed my lips to her forehead, a small smile formed on her face. If everything went according to plan she would be mine.

My greed flared inside of me as dangerous thoughts flashed through my mind. I could just take her right now, no one would ever know. But if I took her she would never forgive me and my dreams would be shattered. I sighed in defeat as my conscience won the battle.

"I'll see you tomorrow, lyubov Moyà." I whispered and disappeared into the darkness.

BOOK 3 IN THE NOX HAVEN SERIES:

Destiny.

It was a funny thing. I had always thought that I could create my own destiny. But after attending my junior year at Nox Haven, I knew that wasn't possible. My destiny was written two hundred years before my birth, when my ancestor- The Dark Warlock- created a cult of Dark Ones.

It was my destiny to rid the world of his mistake- but I didn't know how. That was the funny part, I knew what I had to do but I didn't know how. Nobody wrote that part of the prophecy. I would figure it out though, two of my beloved friends were dead because the Dark Ones. I swore on their graves that no one else would follow.
