Tribe: DeepWings

You can use this tribe for your fanfiction/characters/whatever you want to use it for. Make as many changes to the tribe as you want. Also feel free to take inspiration from this tribe for any of your own original tribes!!

This is my original tribe DeepWings, that I may or may not use in a fanfiction eventually. They're not very good but they're fun to make. So keep that in mind I guess :3

I included story/character ideas at the end! Keep in mind, I might use them for my own fanfictions.

Name: DeepWings (Sometimes called Deep SeaWings)
Diet: fish and other deep sea creatures
Average lifespan: ~150 years
Scale color(s): Black or dark shades of any other color, with any color bioluminescent scales. Belly and wings are usually a dark shade of the color of their bioluminescent scales.
Very common: Dark purple, dark blue, dark green
Somewhat common: dark gray, dark brown, dark red
Uncommon: Light purple, light green, light blue, light gray, light brown, light red
Rare: pink, yellow, orange
Very rare: silver, gold, or white
Impossible: Black or multicolored
Eye color(s): Pure black
Horns/spikes/claws: All black; two small horns on top of head; long, but dull claws; no spikes (have a fin instead)
Body shape: Long, thin, small bodies with a thin tail that has a fin at the end; a fin that runs down their back (somewhat like a SandWing); small fin-like wings; long legs with webbed talons; long skinny ears (like an IceWing)
Other appearance details: Gills; multiple rows of razor sharp teeth; big eyes; bioluminescent scales (smaller, but there's more of them)
Abilities: Bioluminescent scales that can flash brightly to stun predators and prey; extra razor sharp teeth for a powerful bite; strong night vision; breathe underwater; blend into dark water; withstand extreme cold and pressure
Special abilities: Possible animus (they're related to SeaWings)
Strengths: Good at camouflage and sneak attacks; fantastic swimmers; very powerful bite
Weaknesses: Cannot breathe outside of water, very sensitive to light and pressure changes, cannot communicate with tribes besides SeaWings (and other DeepWings)
Kingdom's name: Deep Trench
Kingdom's location: The Deep Trench, a trench that's hundreds of miles long and extends thousands of miles below the Seabed
Kingdom's climate and geography: Extreme dark, cold, and pressure
Palace(s): Seabed Palace - On the Seabed near the entrance to the kingdom, a small palace mainly for hosting meetings with the SeaWings; Deep Sea Palace - a massive palace at one of the lowest points of the trench, the pressure here is so high that SeaWings (or any other tribe) cannot access it, it is the main home of the queen
Other buildings: Usually built on the bottom or carved into the sides of the trench; homes are often small and cave-like, but other buildings (schools libraries etc) tend to be quite large
Other Kingdom details: -
Tribe relationships: Often have life-long relationships and many friendships; usually only have 1-2 dragonets; tend to be quite close with extended families; usually friendly towards one another
Relationships with other tribes: SeaWings - DeepWings were once thought to be "odd-looking SeaWings" and were often treated as such, ruled by the queen and all, until they fought a war for independence. Because of this war, SeaWings and DeepWings have not had a good relationship, but things are changing now that the war is over
Other tribes - They don't know much about them other than what the SeaWings have taught them, which is not much
Attitude towards hybrids: DeepWing-SeaWing hybrids are common, but often looked down upon because of the bad history with SeaWings. Though, this is beginning to change.
Attitude towards dragons with special abilities: They know nothing about animus magic. The SeaWings have kept it secret from them.
Eggs: Usually only 1-2; black with colored flecks; kept in closely guarded hatcheries
Dragonets: Return to their families after hatching; homeschooling is quite common, though public schools are also an option
Other culture details: Speak their own form of Aquatic, but can speak SeaWing Aquatic too; often keep fish as pets
History: DeepWings are thought to have evolved from a group of SeaWings that broke off from the rest of the tribe. For thousands of years they ruled by themselves, until SeaWings discovered them and attacked, taking over the kingdom. DeepWings were treated poorly for almost a hundred years, until a revolution led to a war for independence which led to DeepWings becoming their own tribe again.

STORY/CHARACTER IDEAS (keep in mind that I might use some of these!)
1. A DeepWing finds a way (animus magic?) to leave the ocean, experiencing the rest of the world for the first time, and becoming the first of their tribe to do so.
2. Character:A DeepWing who is blind, leaving them unable to communicate with most of their tribe.
3. A story from the perspective of a DeepWing when the SeaWings take over.
4. A story about a DeepWing and a SeaWing who fall in love.
5. A story about the original group of SeaWings whose descendants became the DeepWings
