*Vineet's POV*

Our journey to Thailand began on a happy note. Ruhana seemed happy, well, I should also be happy. But something is bothering me. My Past? Yes, maybe! If it's not the reason, then I might not have asked some space from my best friend and wife, Ruhana. I remembered her words. When I got her ice-cream , she was happy. She said she got her best friend back. But is it so!  A past memory flickered in my mind.

*Flashback Begins*

It was when I had befriended Abhilasha. We were in the same class, and often ended up sitting together, as we both were late birds. It was another day, when I saw some ribbons and bracelets in her hand.

"What are you doing with so many bracelets…?" I asked.

She eyed me in awe.. "you don't know? Today is friendship day! These are for my friend." she spoke.

I had completely forgotten about this special day, and suddenly I felt like I should gift her something or the other. It's not that I have never celebrated this day, but for me my best friend, Ruhana, it had always been an outing together. Today, I find Abhilasha sharing ribbons and bracelets. I smiled and took my leave.

Since I had no other class, I left college and went into the nearby market. I didn't know what would Abhilasha like as  I only know her for a few days only. As I was passing by, I saw a shop and purchased a box full of chocolates for her. I haven't gifted anything to anyone, but for her, I felt like gifting her something on the occasion of friendship day.

I went back into the college. Fortunately, I found her in the college garden. It seemed that she was waiting for her friends. I tapped  her shoulder. She glanced at me.

"Vineet tum yahan?" she asked maybe, she didn't expect me.

I smiled…

"Yeah! You reminded me that today is friendship day, so I got something for you
