I have missed bhai's valima and from 2 weeks i was busy with work. I convinced investors and came up with better plan. I didn't had time to call Taya ammi to apologise it was weird that their was no single call came from home. I thought I will get call from hira but she went to her mom's home which is far from city. Work was only thing that keep me distracted but now on way back to home only thought was how I'm going to answer Everyone and then slept with hope that my disappearance didn't effect much to all.
When I reached it was already night so i called cab after reaching home it was dark and silent I thought others have slept so without disturbances got to room changed my clothes and went to bed. You must be thinking how much can a person sleep but for one who was working for 18 hours daily from 2 weeks sleep is most needed think.
When I went for breakfast to my surprise no one was there which is not usual because dadu strictly instruct us to have morning meal together. I asked maids about it but they remained silent don't know but it feels like they were hiding something.
When halima khala entered i asked her about everyone.
Whatever she was saying I understood that they are three situations on hand
1. Dadu is in hospital
2. Taya ammi is angry and don't want me their
3. I have messed up
To utter disappointment Taya ammi didn't let anyone call me was she this angry to blame me for dadu's health. I'm not interested in others opinion so picked my car keys and drove to hospital in minutes and ran to ward
In hospital near dadu's ward my family was present doctor was speaking to Taya abbu I heard that kidney transplant needs to be done now itself.
Taya ammi saw me and she came to me fuming with anger before I uttered salam loud noise echoed in hospital lobby. I got a slap for what I still don't know.
"How dare you come to hospital after leaving just go from here" Taya ammi said with hate in her voice
I seriously don't get it why is she reacting like this. Never taya ammi shouted at anyone she is women with manners. She gets angry but it was unexpected.
"Calm down jameela let her speak it is not her fault" Taya abbu said trying to calm her and was holding her to save me from slap
"Its all her fault if she didn't went for work we would have saved from taunts and abbu wouldn't be sick" Taya ammi said with tears
"Taya ammi I'm sorry I didn't knew my absence will make dadu sick" I said trying to convince her
"You know what your pupha said that your just like your father always after money and he was right isn't it. Did you know how much that words effect abbu he neglected is health and stayed in his room avoiding his food. He was doing this because your absence made people say things that opened his wounds" Taya ammi said with tears and hurt in her eyes. I'm no where near to my father who left his family to marry a rich American for citizenship abroad
"I'm sorry please Taya ammi you know na i can't hurt dadu ever please let me meet him" I said with weak voice it was difficult to speak after hearing this
Taya ammi was going to disagree I can see in her eyes then nurse came out
"Patient is asking about zeba is it your family member. Please call her" said nurse
"I'm zeba is he fine is he conscious now" I asked and nurse nodded giving me space to walk in
I saw dadu on bed looking pale and weak I don't wanna cry infront of him. I just hide my guilt and went to him when I hold his hand he removed his oxygen mask. I asked him not to but he didn't listen like always
I smiled to him when he touched my hand
"Zeba will you do something for me" I just nodded as yes
"Get married promise me if not I will not go for this surgery and will die..."he said I held his hand tightly didn't let him tell
"I will do what you want, I promise but after you get fit after surgery" I said to him kissing his hand he just nodded and smiled at me. Nurse came put his mask and ask me do leave
Doctor have prepared for surgery and Alhamdulilah operation was successful now everything is stable.
'When I promised dadu for future with someone I don't no. I know my fate is sealed with that someone i want to know now "
