          How is your month of May going?
          
          Mine was rather sad until yesterday. La Candidate made this year's Open Novella longlist. I didn't announce it yesterday just in case it was a dream, but the reality was still true when I woke up, so here I am. 
          
          I really didn't think it would make it this far. There are some brilliant stories in the contest this year. Congratulations to everyone who made the longlist.
          
          I think the Open Novella contest is an excellent way for people who are hesitant to write or publish to test the waters. The 20k word count and the time frame are less stressful than NaNoWriMo's 50k word count, and it can even be training for that. I hope to see your hidden gems next year.

          I hope you've been well.
          
          I don't know what to think about this first part of the year. All I know is I want change, and it's coming. I'm working hard to achieve that.
          
          You'll discover what the first change is if you read the first chapter of When You Wish ;) Yes, friends, the first chapter is up!
          
           I've completed a few books, including When You Heal, Typed Out, and my ONC story.
          
          I didn't think I'd make it, but I published the last chapter of La Candidate in the ONC time frame and published La Presidente. Both stories are different from the usual romcoms I write. Don't hesitate to check them out if you want to read something different.
