Harmony of the Spheres and Love 020- Beyond a Beautiful Smile have both been entered into the Wattys 2019.

"So what?" you ask. "What does that have to do with me?"

Well... nothing... really. Just thought I'd let you know and also request that if you're reading either story and enjoying it, then please vote for the chapters to show that enjoyment (sometimes I'm guilty of simply assuming the writer will know I enjoyed it because duh...) and if you've already read it and enjoyed it then please share them so others can read and enjoy too.

"But does that actually affect the results?"

Nope. As far as I understand, while the judging isn't a popularity contest the number of reads/shares/comments plays a role in weeding out stories for the judges to read. How, i'm not too clear on but this is Wattpad- voting/sharing/commenting plays a role in any online algorithm.

"So why are you asking us to do this?"

Shameless plug and using The Watty's as an excuse. *shrugs*

Following up to say- there WILL be a Harmony of the Spheres update by the end of this week which WILL include a brief note grovelling for forgiveness for not updating and kind of explaining why I'm so slow.

Love your writing. I was recently rereading HoK and at one point you reference XN helping out Mei when he outs himself to his parents. It was a side story that was supposed to be in the One Shots writings but I couldn’t find it. I understand it was written a while ago and I was wondering if I could find it somewhere?

Question, if it doesn't bother you, what's your uni? And if you can also tell me the pros and coins of enrolling it would be much appreciated. Thanks.

P.S. I like the 'Harmony of the Spheres' book, by the way...

I think I'll do more research about it, but thank you. This helped, really. Oh, and no pressure regarding the book, I know readers can be reeeaaally persuasive regarding updates but I'm totes fine with long breaks in books ;). Take care and stay safe, both you and your family!

Pros: USC takes further Education seriously in that they tried to get lecturers who hadnt just studied their subjects but had applied their studies and practised. They also encouraged diversity with study and if you could approach them with a way to complete extra study, then they were more than happy to help. Which is how I managed to graduate with majors in English, creative writing, and history, instead of just English and History.
USC has over 50% mature age students, and then the remaining 50% of school leavers has a high number of ESL students from other countries. This means there is a LOT of diversity of experience and knowledge to be shared within tutorials and subjects. The knowledge pool of the students is phenomenal and when you have an English and Creative writing lecturer who also designs video games you end up with a learning experiences that encourages you to enjoy learning.
There are a number of groups on campus and from what I saw they try and make sure every student has a group they feel they can connect to... even if they dont go to a lot of the social events. Its just nice having a place to go you know is a safe space.

And lastly, it is still a smaller uni, so lecturers know students by name and frequently have students in their classes throughout each semester of their degree. This familiarity means students get more personal instruction or support when necessary and are less likely to be overlooked because classes are too large.

Hope this helps answer your query?

And thank you for reading Harmony of the Spheres. It will be finished at some stage but I havent been writing it while life has taken me down a different path. I go back to uni (again, this time for my Masters) next year so will return to writing HotS when I need a creative break during study.

@ToDanceWithTheDevil I studied at USC in QLD.
The pros and cons for me going back to uni may not be applicable for you...

The main cons were time, money and self-doubt.
I went back to uni when my second child was 9mths old. We couldnt afford daycare for two kids so had to take her with me as much as possible. The opinion was voiced several times that in choosing to have a family before getting a degree, I had "chosen" to forgo study and didnt deserve the place that was given to me. Fortunately I had amazing lecturers who would drown out those voices.
But time management around kids was very difficult for assignments, as well as attendance. And being involved with groups or social activities on campus? That was a huge struggle. It felt like I got only got half the promised uni experience... but I graduated with more than two majors so feel like that evens it out a bit.
I also struggled a lot with using my brain again in a study sense. If I was frazzled with kids then my study notes didnt make sense and I would immediately jump to "I knew I couldnt do this". When I could. And I did. I rocked it. But the self-doubt was almost crippling.

Just wanted to say thank you for writing KO and Mr. Girly story. It fits perfect and in my mind is now part of the novel/series world. Watched Love O2O again after reading your story and I kept wanting to see it play out, that is how much it fits! So, again thank you!
