Are you still alive?

is there a rough date when you leave the military, so we know when you think you can return to writing?

Where have I been?
          
          Hello. I think you all deserve to know what’s up with this account and my stories. Aka, why I haven’t updated anything in a long time.
          
          The crux of the matter is that I’ve been busy with real life. I guess, more specifically, with work.
          
          I think, once I’m out of the military, I’ll be able to publish what I write again. However, as it is now, my work drains me both physically and mentally quite often, and takes a lot out of me to the point that—although I still write things privately for myself—publishing consistently is simply just not viable.
          
          It isn’t necessarily an issue with motivation, but more so one of exhaustion. And it isn’t an issue with physical exhaustion either. It takes effort to write something. And it takes a lot of mental effort to write and edit something good, continuously. Of course, if I half-ass things, I could probably churn chapters out easily. However. . .that’s an unsatisfactory solution.
          
          All in all, that level of continuous effort is simply not something I’m willing to do in this stage of my life when paired up with my rather demanding work. It’s a simple cost versus return scenario.
          
          There will be a time when I write and update my stories again, of course, but it is not near.
