Alright guys -- I wanted to come on here and kinda update you about my current status on Wattpad and general life things because I don't get too many chances to do that. It might chain into multiple messages so just be ready for a long explanation.
I would like to first of all announce my official resignation from fan fiction. And no, I'm not joking with you. I never really officially said that I was going to stop writing fan fiction but kinda just dipped out for a couple years and then came back for a hot second, but then dipped away for another year. I'm basically on hiatus. And I would like to explain why because I know a lot of you follow me for my fan fiction and I'm really sorry if you're disappointed. And the explanation is the long part, so sorry if you were expecting a brief message.
First -- let's talk about why I even got started on Wattpad. I got started on Wattpad when I was in, like, 6th grade and we were in quarantine and I was kinda out of my mind. I've always been an imaginative kid and often, before going to bed, I would make up scenarios and different stories with my favorite characters from Percy Jackson to get me to fall asleep. And since I was kinda sick of my own stories after a while, I wanted to actually read something. So, I searched up my general topic into a web browser and stumbled upon Wattpad. That's how I first even found this place. And while reading fan fictions, the writer in me kept feeling unsatisfied with other works. Don't get me wrong, I'm not criticizing anyone, but after reading anything, either things weren't grammatically correct, too cheesy, not enough push and pull, angst, you get the gist. It wasn't to my personal style. Or books with great ideas weren't written in a way that I would have liked to imagine it. So I saw the "write" feature at the top of the page and decided to do something about it and write my own stories. They were first for myself, but as you all know, it expanded beyond what I had anticipated.
