!!RANT!!
So I need to talk about this or I'm going to hurt someone. *Edit I forgot to mention all of the girls are in 8th grade but she's in 7th*
(Context I play lacrosse in a not so rich town. (we're also pretty getto) With a population of alot of poc (people of color). And lacrosse is a expensive sport. )
So there's a girl (lest call her M) on the team that plays travel, she's really good. But she a ball hog and think she's better then the rest of team. Our team is not the best, most of the girls first year. But were passionate and hard working. So M is getting mad that we aren't winning more games. Which is her fault too because she can see us open but not pass the ball. So supposedly M was calling the team,HER OWN TEAM, bops (or whores) and saying the team is ass. Like wtf. And yesterday we were practicing and M was being "reckless" and hit a girl on the face with the lax ball. Then M hit ANOTHER girl in the face with her stick. The reason I put quotations on "reckless" is because I think she did it on purpose. She's been playing seens she was 3. She has amazing hander on the stick and the ball. So she had to do it on purpose.
Another thing about I don't normally care about race but I feel like I have to address the elephant in the room. She's white. The only white girl on the team. Travel teams aren't cheap. I don't think she realizes her privilege. To be able to pay for equipment (we have to use the schools equipment) that aren't cheap or everywhere (the only place I found sticks are in was Dicks and they're $100 at cheapest ). She has resources that most of the team,including me, does not.
So ya I needed to rant so bye
