Penny Clover Petersen

After a number of times hearing her sigh and say, "This book is terrible. I could write something better," Penny’s husband Tom said, "Then do it!" She took the dare and after years of writing poetry and children's stories as a hobby, sat down to write a novel.

A cozy, little mystery seemed right. The result was Roses and Daisies and Death, Oh My! an off-beat mystery that draws on a lifetime spent in suburban Washington DC, the wonderful, slightly eccentric people she grew up with, and the odd assortment of pets her family acquired over the years.

She grew up in Washington DC and College Park, MD with four sisters and one brother. She worked part-time for the most part while she and her husband raised their children and is excited to be pursuing her second career as an author.

Penny lives with her husband and three feral cats in Bowie Maryland. In addition to writing, she enjoys time with her children, grandchildren and large extended family. She likes to travel when possible, refurbish old furniture, and collect family stories and recipes for the 'family cookbook.' She loves historic homes and is a docent at Riversdale Mansion in Riverdale, MD.
