@juanaa321 Thank you so much for this. Honestly, I'd thought everyone must have forgotten I exist by now.

-babblingbre-

@TheAnnoyingBitch off topic have you listened to epic: the musical the songs they have about Odysseus and penelope are beautiful and they show odysseus's character SOOO good

@TheAnnoyingBitch I'm happy that you're still working on it (yes I will take those poems pls)

@-babblingbre- Yes, yes you are. It's one of the 11 projects I'm working on - but I'm not making any promises on how soon it'll be - I'm starting my internship next month, so things might be a bit slower.

Now, I don't really have any recs besides the Odyssey. I don't read those modern retellings (as you said, they villanise him and refuse to see him as the victim that he is) but, I do have a few poems written by a few Greek poets that you might enjoy x.

Yes, hi, I'm alive. No, that's not important right now. What's important is how painfully underrated this masterpiece is. Go check it out, Anjali writes the way a sunset is meant to feel.

          Ps. I haven't left, I'm working on a not-so secret project. I'll be back.

I just realized I never wrote a message to you, about the loss of your father…I am so extremely sorry, Theodorina. I am sending all my love and healing fo you, I truly mean that. I lost my father when I was very young, and although the absence is always there, I feel his protection/precence everyday.
You are a gift to the world!

TheAnnoyingBitch

@rhodostephes Thank you, I'm repeating myself, I know, but I'm honestly very grateful for your message. Losing my dad so unexpectedly just broke something inside me, I guess? And it only led to constant denial and anger (which I'm, shamefully, not over yet) but it's the absence that hurts the most, as you said. Death - in itself - is just a momentary occurrence, it's effects just happen to be long lasting and oftentimes, more painful than the actual event.
I'm very sorry about your dad, as well. It's a horrible thing to have to go through, especially when you're a kid but I'm very glad you're able to feel him close to you and take comfort from him

The Taste of Divinity is one of best books I’ve ever, ever read. Your writing is so beautiful and poetic, I cannot tell you how many lines I’ve saved and look back on in such awe. Even if it is never finished, please keep in online for the dawn of time. I cannot fully explain how many emotions your book (and your writing) invokes within me, but they are so powerful.
It also makes me feel closer to my Greek ancestors and all of the ancient worldthank you for gracing us with your presence.

@rhodostephes Well, the ultimate plan is to polish it off (heavy editing, I've been trying to tackle it for two years now) and publish it one way or another but for now, I will definitely keep it online and finish it. Actually, I know how the story will progress, I just haven't been able to find the proper words.

Also, it means a lot to me that TTOD made you feel closer to Hellas and your ancestors - that's honestly one of the greatest compliments I could receive. After all, that's why I started writing it, I needed to see this tale told from our perspective and through our eyes and cultural lenses which the foreigners disregard or blantaly reject ❤️
