Wattpad is GETTING RID of Direct Messaging!!
          WHY? Because they're mostly a reading and commenting site and they want everyone to connect in a way through their books and profile chat areas!
          SERIOUSLY!?! 
          The only way we'll be getting direct messages now is from admins and the Wattpad direct advertizement lines...it's so stupid: 
          Not only do people get DM's from friends to talk about things that they would be otherwise unable to talk about publically, but it is also striking down a HUGE way of meeting new people and making new friends. 
          
          In the past two or so years there have been TONS of problems with DMing people, and I'm sure that there have been even more requests to fix said problems (buffering, skipping, double-message sending, glitching, loading problems, and probable many other things) so the way they decide to resolve this is by GETTING RID OF IT!?!!
          
          In the past I was able to talk to friend about personal IRL matters that should NEVER be talked about through public messages due to their sensitivity, and there was also the fact that certain writing or editorial companies have reached out to offer opportunities with their brand as a writer/editor...Now not only will they not be able to do that but EVERYONE will be deterred from reaching out to anyone else about ANYTHING due to not being able to talk about it privately. 
          (I get Discord exists, I don't use it much)
          
          If this is something that upsets you as well, say something on your message board and maybe find a way to submit a complaint because this is something that will really hurt Wattpad as a whole (other than the fact literally 70% of it's paid community is Romance and Wattys awarding that seems scripted or biased...) 
          
          I'm not going to be leaving Wattpad for this, but it's something that really just pisses me off due to the severe blow to their own community Wattpad is going to be Destroying because 'they want people to connect through the stories and their profiles not through personal-personal means'

I can understand that, but it still doesn’t change my opinion of their decision.

My thoughts on this are it was expected. It’s expensive to keep servers running and having to pay people (which there are few server administrators) to keep them running is equally as expensive. Wattpad is a dying platform due to mismanagement and lack of resources, along with the fact social media such as TikTok is made to be way more engaging psychologically apps such as Wattpad are at a severe disadvantage. It’s unfortunate that they are removing DMS, however, it’s also unrealistic to expect them to continue with supporting their dying platform.

I think that sometimes bots go on people stories and randomly vote for nearly every chapter…I don’t know why, or how it’s possible, but there’s no other way I can explain a vote being on like chapter three, then five, back to one, and then all the way over to fifteen XD

this message may be offensive 
So I'm poor and most of the things I have tech-wise are old and lesser models than newer or more used versions...anyways when I turned off my Chromebook (because that's what I write on) for the first time in probably a month.
          I'm bad at that (I know it's bad for the system and overall health of the machine) but it happens and will likely always happen. 
          So I turned it back on, signed onto everything again, and Netflix pops up a different screen yelling at me for having an outdated system. Version 103 for Chrome system and the least requirement is 106 apparently lol. 
          I don't have a subscription to them anymore thankfully but I still think it's bullshit that they started implementing that, same for the password and area code things for streaming and password sharing...

So things are going to be getting rough for me these next few weeks and I more than likely won’t be getting the chance to write as often, but I am going to put out what I can and I have plenty of stock built up to last the month…just gotta edit and schedule them…

I’m going to be mainly focusing on IRD (Invisible Reaper Dragon) for now as i am planning to use the story to try and make money off of writing, as well as other stories but they will be coming later once I feel like I’m more established… 
          
          I want to thank you all for giving my stories a chance and giving them votes, comments, and saving them to public lists for saving or later reading. 
          
          I’m aiming to be doing my other stories as well at points in between but for now Tortured warrior gets the attention in my free time.
