@ Linabaya12  I love y/n (u ofc)sm (⁠灬⁠º⁠‿⁠º⁠灬⁠)⁠♡ and the way I thought about writing the scene, frankly, I loved this idea, but the original idea remains the best (when it was not challenged) because it led to many events that were interesting and funny at the same time, and it had a lot of feelings between AlHaitham and y/n...(⁠◕⁠ᴗ⁠  ◕⁠✿⁠) I love your writing and plotting of this wonderful story (⁠≧⁠▽⁠≦⁠)

@Linabaya12 good question - in another alternate universe, alhaitham would've been upset with himself more than anything. he would've been the one to take her to the er as he would've got the scene as she was getting stabbed (childe and diluc found him wandering, making their position in mondstadt different. the three would've searched the city after going being told by prince and shuyun that y/n was forced to distract callie for alhaitham's sake). Callie would be handled by Childe and Diluc (Diluc would turn a blind eye to this and fake witness report of Callie jumping Childe). Diluc also would've asked Alhaitham if he's going to keep letting the past decide the rest of his life or if he's going to confront the trauma and move in life one step at a time.
            he wouldn't isolate himself but instead come to realize quickly that shoving away trauma is not good for anyone as he would be by y/n's side in the ER until she got her stitches and woke up. this would've led to him opening up a bit sooner and apologizing.  he would try to justify that what happened should make y/n hate him and not talk to him but dearest y/n would've told him to shut up and accept the helping hand when somebody offers it.
            the story would've taken a bit of a different route as well d:

            - Alhaitham text fic to fix spelling errors/grammar mistakes/whackass outfits (I didn't even know ab them I'm so sorry), it'll show I updated chapters when I didn't actually 
            - Alhaitham model AU to change to Y/N with minor plot changes, fixing within the week
            - Childe fic revised for the third time, will be updated within the week
