why do I feel like that emmaline is going to lash out at her parents and like blow up because she’s got so much pressure on her weights and in the last chapter she’s just worried that they only see her as their second chance not as her daughter so I have a feeling she might like just go crazy at her parents and they have this massive blow at eachother

So, my older cousin (her dad and my dad are brothers) just graduated high school two weeks ago and we had a family gathering today to celebrate. Her mom's sister was there too. For context, I spent almost two years being in something like a friendship with a guy from my programming class. TWO YEARS. Turns out he is the son of my aunt's sister. This guy and I are related by the marriage of my uncle and his aunt. Neither of us knew until they randomly told me today at the family gathering. He still doesn't know. They told ME to tell him when I next see him, because his dad (there was a verry shitty divorce) forbid him from seeing his mother's side of the fam but he doesn't know that I'm a part of said side of the fam.
Thing is, this isn't the first time I'm friends with someone and my dad just goes "btw you two are cousins". I spent four fucking years in the same class as another guy and FIVE YEARS AFTER WE STOPPED BEING CLASSMATES, I was randomly told he was my dad's cousin's son and I should help him with his math hw. WTF??? I have like 20 cousins that know almost everything about me whose existence I didn't even suspect! They're all from my dad's side of the family too. Does anyone else have such family?

@Jettismyhero Last Easter my grandpa got drunk and started telling the syory if my graet granfather. Apparently, the guy's family got bombed when he was 6, he was shipped to Greece, then to Istanbul, back to Greece. He then found out his younger sister is alive and went back to his home country. He told her he was a family friend (ciz she thought he was dead) but months later he told her the truth. This is a very small portion of the whole mess my grapa said that day, there's more to this story, he then started talking about my grandma (his ex wife) and there was even more bs. DON'T GET ME STARTED ON MY MOM'S FAMILY
