I say restart, but leave the old book up. I feel like that would be a better option if you want to show progress.

I don’t know exactly why, it could be an internet issue though. I wrote a whole 12 chapters on one of my books, they were all long too, and I saved them to the drafts (at least I thought it saved), and as soon as I left the app and came back, it was ALL gone. It was because of my internet (I think).
