i do not allow people to promote their works on my [main account] message board. frankly, i find it disrespectful even if you add something like "permission to plug, etc." because you already posted it.
my message board is for my announcements and interactions with fellow writers and readers.
messages about plugging/promoting your works on my message board will automatically be deleted. this has happened a lot of times already in the past. it happened just now. other writers may be fine with that sort of stuff, but i'm not, and surely, i'm not the only one. please know beforehand whether or not the owner of the message board you wish to post your work on is fine with it first.
i'm all for supporting writers, don't get me wrong. i just don't like that sort of thing. anyway, i have another account solely for recommedations (cookiesnreads). you may promote your work/s there.
