Bonds between family members are strong. But so is jealousy.

People have dreams, of all kinds. Grand or small. They are all still dreams. All desiring to be achieved but easily crushed, by anyone. In one family, one brother achieved his dream of joining the army. Willingly giving his life for his country and greater future, it was a great honour to the family. Michael, the younger brother, had a different dream. He wanted to stand out for who he is, a loyal good son of his family. People already saw proof of his commitment to his family, sacrificing his time to support and aid his Father in various occasions. From travelling place to place with them, to translating what had been spoken to them in important meetings. He was always loyally by his Father side, with his Father's getting worse due to health issues and problems. His Father ran a family diner that served homemade family cooking, due to his health, the diner was losing life and business. Michael took it on himself to keep his Father's diner alive, serving and cooking dishes that stood out to regulars and new customers alike. His Father saw his diner slowly raising back from brink of financial death by the hands of his son, his loyal son Michael.

Leung Diner was becoming a hot attraction to the town, feeding masses of people with delightful cooking. Michael's kindness helped attract customers to the diner, with benevolent words and reasoning for some of his actions.

"Why not? Just because he has no money to eat, doesn't mean he isn't allowed to eat anything here."

He replied once to a new employee, showing the goodwill in his heart. In darker times, he would sit with a customer and talk with them. Comforting them in their darkest moments, of anxiety or change in their lives. Taking the time in active and inactive times of the diner to help them, he and his Father's diner were becoming icons of the community. The fame, popularity, and attention they were receiving allowed Michael to express and show what he could do. Modest and kind to everyone, it looked like he did not have a dark side. The only time he showed an aggressive side to him was towards incidents that he saw and was clearly wrong, he was not the type to stand and watch the incident happen, he would jump in to stop and save the victims. If only people would do the right thing, people know what is right and wrong, but they allow the wrong to continue. Frustrating. So frustrating.

While managing the diner, Michael tended to his personal work. His literature work, stories of his own making from his mind. Stories containing messages and meaning to share thoughts and feelings on moments and situations in life with wise sounding verses. His stories, motivated by his friend's comments on his imagination, he began to plan and write down thoughts and ideas for stories inspired by multiple existing ideas. With a thought and interest in making a book that showcased his creative mind in a time where creativity is seen and acknowledged and no more, it does not get recognised or praised as much as it did in his youth. Now it was more money making and making drama to get attention. Honest effort and work getting shadowed by deception and injustice. Regardless of where he turns or what he hears, dishonesty reigns and prosper. It was infuriating, although he may be of great respect and recognisable in his community, but he was no voice of reason or god. Knowing action was needed to be done but seeing nothing is done and being unable to do anything to quell it, only rained on Michael's parade of a day and mood. He maintains his positive calm mood though, focusing and remembering what he was doing and the reason for it, set his mind back on track. A smile, a heart-warming smile from his Father. That's all Michael wanted, and to be remembered as a loyal son to the Leung family. His personal work was a way and bonus to him, if he can be successful in his work, he will be remembered as a loyal and creative son.

Michael's father told his son that his Brother was coming back home, a wonderous occasion for a family, but his Father was given letters about his eldest son's actions in the army. Refusing to acknowledge other's efforts and contributions, demanding recognition, and wanting more than he is given.
