please note that this is my personal way of doing things so you are not entitled to follow them at all!
also this chapter is limited to my covers and banners (non-gif/non-moving, though i will be showing some) so if what you wanted is outside of that range, it won't be covered in this chapter; so sorry about that :( but it might be if someone requested it!

• so for both covers and banners, doesn't matter, i immediately open up ibispaint and begin a new canvas according to the size of whatever i'm making (see faq and sizes chapter for specifications). to do that, you go to "my gallery," then hit the plus + sign, and input whatever canvas sign you may need
