Nineteen seventy-three.

It was a freezing day outside, though no snow threatened to lock people inside. Yet, at least. So, Roger was visiting Brian for a jam session. And to just let them both "hang out."

Currently, the duo were working on some new song, Brian rather harshly hitting at the strings of his home-made guitar with a sixpence coin, while Roger kept a steady rhythm with some occasional fills.

After a few minutes of this, both musicians decided to stop. It was cold, even inside with the heating on.
-

"I like that rhythm you were doing, Bri. It matches my drums!" Roger says with a grin on his face.

"It matches the tempo of your drums, I think you mean." The guitarist corrects smartly, trying not to laugh.

But neither of them could hold back their silliness, for soon Roger and Brian started laughing at how ridiculous they sounded.
-

"You correct everything like we're an old married couple. Love it." Roger catches his breath and sighs as he sits down on the couch, Brian sitting down as well.

Brian didn't laugh at that sentence, though. It only made him wonder, "An old married couple? Love it? I'm not sure if that really means anything."

The blond drummer glanced over and put a hand on the curly haired man's shoulder.

"You all right there, Bri? You seem spaced out."

Brian looked down at Roger and quickly nodded, "yeah, I'm just.. Erm- cold."

"If you say so." Roger shrugs, raising an eyebrow quizzically.

"Anyway, I should get going." The shorter of the two declares, getting up and heading to the door.

Brian was about to say goodbye, though he was still wondering about if Roger loved him or not.

Roger opened the front door, only to see the sight of at least a few inches of snow on the ground, and the snow didn't cease.

"You'd be forgetting your drum set, if it wasn't a blizzard out there." Brian comments as he appears near Roger.

Roger flinched at the sudden low voice next to him.
-

"Good heavens, you startled me," he put a hand on his chest. "And my drum kit likes being with your guitar, anyway."

"What on earth does he mean? Is he flirting?" Brian questioned to himself, feeling his face get warm.

"Well, you can't go out in this weather; it's coming down pretty rapidly. Do you want to stay over?" Brian inquires to quickly put a stop to his blushing.

"I don't really have a choice, do I?" Roger chuckles and closes the door since it was letting all of the sharp winter air inside.

"No, sorry. You'll have to settle down here." Brian tried to joke, but it didn't turn out right when he spoke out loud.

Roger furrowed his eyebrows, the blue eyes glaring intensely in confusion.

"His looks aren't helping.. Especially with those baby blue eyes. Darn it, Rog!" Brian sighed and then realised what he had just said.
-

"Oh, I didn't mean it like that. Um.." Now the guitar player was getting flustered again.

"Nah, it's okay. I don't have anywhere important to go or anything special to do." Roger says reassuringly, getting distracted by the lovely hazel eyes staring at him.

"Are his eyes always this pretty? No, I can't let him know how attractive he looks when he's flustered." Roger frowned while he tried to collect his thoughts.

"Maybe we should have some tea. I'll make it." The percussionist insists, figuring that was the best way to get rid of the romantic feelings he had.

"Yeah, everything should be in the kitchen."

----
Roger huffed slightly while getting the things for tea out, finding it a bit difficult to reach. He was only a little taller than Freddie -- or about the same height.

"Goodness, Brian! Is everything built for giraffes in here?"

Brian stifled a laugh and helped get the tea and mugs down, "No, just for guitar players."

"I play guitar too! Just not like you do. Maybe one day I'll play your way."

Roger felt his own cheeks blush once he realised the connotation, but he didn't bother correcting it. "I think he secretly likes my 'flirting', these lines are getting to him!"

-----
Finally, two nice cups of tea were made and both people were at the table, sipping away slowly.

"Thanks for making the tea. It's quite nice." Brian quietly spoke, blinking a lot because he was nervous to be alone with his friend.

"That's ok, I don't mind, really. Seems like I'll be here for a while." Roger replies, and afterwards, the room filled with silence.

There were several moments before Brian finally brought his voice to the conversation again.

"C'mon, Bri! Now's your only chance!"

"Um, Rog. I have something to tell you.." Brian's tone was cool like the air outside, though he felt worried on the inside.

"Yeah, what is it?" Roger looked up from his mug to meet the guitarist's gaze.

"Is this what I hope it is? No, it couldn't be!" The drummer thinks while he waits patiently for whatever he's about to be told.

"Well.. I actually.. Have a crush on you. I have for a bit, now."

Roger gasped quietly and his eyes looked alert now, rather than tired or bored.
-

Brian looked concerned, wondering if he'd put a strain on their friendship.

"I have a confession too.. I feel the same way. Your long legs, those beautiful eyes with perfect vision." Roger says with a small smile, earning a chuckle.

Brian smiled in relief and leaned forward to look out the window, but Roger took that as a sign to kiss him.
-

This caught Brian by surprise, though the lips on his were rather pleasant. It made his heart set off fireworks.

Roger pulled away after a minute, realising that his friend might not have wanted to be kissed on the lips.

"Sorry, did you not like or want that? I won't do it again if it makes you--"

"-no, I actually quite enjoyed that. It doesn't make me uncomfortable."

Brian gave Roger a little kiss on the cheek, smiling brightly.

Though, there was one question on both of their minds now: "should we tell Fred?"
