Chapter XXX:  Eh?

HE SEARCHED for the missing older teenager, pushing a branch of a certain tree aside that was covering his view of the path. He has been searching for a while now, there's no way Gopal managed to run that far, right? Besides, what was the main reason he ran away all of a sudden? Usually he wasn't like this. Sure he gets scared easily, he always screams but, why would he suddenly act so out of character? Gopal gets terrified in an instance, he is scared of almost everything─although there are times where he shines the most.

But, whenever he gets horrified by something he does try to hide from it but he doesn't run away and leave his friends alone. Well, sort of. But, he does have a certain role when they conquer an enemy.

Fang hoped that the female superheroes managed to stall or even better─knock the dragon unconscious. Their teamwork and chemistry with each other is definitely outstanding, just scratch the part where they are teamed up together to compete with something. Fang trusts the two, he knows that they can pull it off even just for a while. They couldn't just leave without Gopal, who knows where that boy could be?

An ear-defeaning screech managed to reach his ears, causing for him to cover it and cringe badly in reaction. Fang knew who the owner of that shriek was, no one else can pull off a scream as high and annoying as Gopal's. There must be something that the Indian boy encountered. With that, the shadow manipulator quickened his pace. Searching from the highs and the lows, he passed by burning trees and random towering flat rocks standing up high from the ground. Gopal was obviously nearby.

It was a guarantee that he was, he couldn't be mistaken.

'Where are you...' Fang thought, turning from side to side, in continue to search for his friend.

"Gopal! Where are you!?" He yelled out after he brought his hands his lips for a greater volume. He perked his head once he heard a noise from somewhere, a muffled one at that. Slowly, he took a step closer which was soon followed by another. Walking closer to the area where he assumed the place where the noise came from, he studied the trees. Although one tree stood out from the rest. It towered almost everything it surrounded, not only it was taller─in terms of width it was also wider.

The colour of the wood was a unique maroon shade. It looked like the oldest tree around there. Vines were dangling from its branches while the others wrapped around its wood. Fang couldn't deny the fact that it was quite attractive. 'This tree looks odd,' he commented internally. Intrigued by it, he walked closer to it. Before he can do anything else, he felt his heart stimulate its heartbeat once he felt something touch his shoulder. Fang snapped his head to the figure that touched him, in fear that it may be an opponent.

To his surprise, it was the only person that he was busy looking for the whole time. "Gopal!? I was searching for you? Where did you go!?" Fang bombarded the older teenager with a flood of questions. "Hey, shhhh. Don't be noisy, after the dragon woke up I obviously got terrified. I was planning on returning back but, something caught my attention," Gopal tried to calm the boy with dark locks down, afraid of making any more loud noises like he did earlier.
