She laughed, struggling to keep herself quiet.
"It's comfy!"
"Sure it is, anyway what's on your mind?"
He sighed deeply. "Just things and I miss you."
"Miss you too."
He yawned, loudly so she could hear it through the phone.
"You seem sleepy enough to me."
"Absolutely exhausted, I just can't relax enough to get to sleep."
"Any way I can help?"
He sighed once more, this time also raising a brow. "Not from where you are."
"Gross."
He sighed deeply again, masking a laugh. "Tell me about your day?"
"Is my day that uninteresting that it'll help you sleep?"
"No, not at all. I just find your voice relaxing."
"Could I tell you about my book instead?"
"That'll keep me awake though. I love hearing about that."
"Jeez Weasley, you do know how to make a girl miss you, don't you?"
He smiled sleepily and Zoe could not help but smile too.
"Okay so, Dad and I-"
Zoe talked for about twenty minutes, rattling off random anecdotes from her day that to begin with earned a hum from him but then, as he fell deeper into sleep, she received nothing at all.
"Good night love."
